Flooring

During the site survey, our sales manager will determine what type of flooring is required to produce a safe, even platform for your event. There are two types of flooring:-

1. Standard Interlocking Floor – This is used when there is a flat, even surface. The 8’ x 2’ wooden floor panels are laid direct to ground conditions.

2. Ringbeam Cassette Floor – Supplied only where the ground is sloping, or un-even. A series of 2M x 1M cassette panels are fitted to an integral metal frame sub structure that is supported at regular intervals ensuring a perfectly level and even finish across the whole floor.

Carpets / Floor Coverings

New cord carpet is supplied on every contract from a range of 30 colours. Polythene film protection is available, especially with lighter shades to keep the carpet in pristine condition before the event. Vinyl is another option which looks highly effective and is available in 7 different colours.

Toilets

We arrange toilet facilities for any amount of guests. There are two main toilet options available:-

1. Mobile ‘Trailer’ Toilet Units – Can be housed internally or externally and come with a traditional or modern interior. They are usually pulled into place with a 4×4 and are self contained, or can be connected to water supply & drainage for longer events.

2. Oak Faced Luxury Toilets – These high end luxury toilets are built on site and tailored to your event in terms of numbers of vanity units, urinals and toilet cubicles. These toilets add style & luxury to any event.

Furniture

We supply a large variety of tables to seat any number of guests which helps make the best use of any space available. Round, rectangular, square or oval, in a variety of different sizes, we have every possibility covered.

We can supply a variety of chairs such as spindle back, (gold, silver black or beech.) chaivari (lime wash, silver or antique gold) or the ghost chair (clear) the spindle back and lime wash chairs come with a choice of 30 coloured pads.

For reception, dance or decking areas within the marquee, you may wish to consider some occasional furniture. Our extensive range of poseur tables, chrome ‘café style’ tables & chairs rattan furniture and black or white leather sofas will provide you and your guests with an abundance of comfort and style.

An extensive range of plastic and wooden outdoor furniture is also available to hire.

Stage & Dance Floor

Whether it’s a single DJ in a booth or a large brass band, we can supply a stage that’s right for your event. With over 200 stage units in stock, we have all possibilities covered. Stage heights range from 9” to 4’. Semi Circular stages are also available in diameters of 8’ & 16’.

We also supply a large range of dance floors which are cleaned and polished before every event. New stock is constantly added to ensure your dance floor is in pristine condition. We stock black & white, all black, all white and parquet dance floors, as well as LED versions to give your event that extra sparkle.

Interior Linings / Starcloth

A beautiful white or ivory pleated roof & wall lining will transform the interior of the marquee into a stylish and elegant room ready for any special occasion. All linings are washed and dried in our industrial machines prior to every event to ensure that our customers are given the best service possible. ‘Monty’ ‘Hip End’ & ‘Gable Ended’ linings are all available to create the effect you are looking to achieve. Other colours are available on request.

Recent investment into ‘flat’ linings creates a more contemporary look altogether as we constantly keep at the forefront of variety and choice for our customer.

For parties and dance areas within the marquee, you may wish to consider our starcloth lining, which transforms the roof into a dark sky of twinkly lights. Linked to a computer controlled transformer, there are many different sequences and modes from which to choose.

Exterior

All our marquees are supplied with white PVC roofs and walls as standard, manufactured in house using our high powered welding machine. All the PVC we use conforms to current British safety standards for flame retardancy. Having our own manufacturing department not only means we are constantly replacing and updating our stock with new, but we can produce special ‘one off’ pieces for those bespoke areas that are just applicable to your job, making the overall experience of having a Mahood Marquee even more professional.

PVC window walling can be supplied at no extra cost, however you may wish to consider our glazed panels which provide floor to ceiling views over decking areas or garden features to the scenery beyond.

Insulated solid side panels add extra security to the marquee and can help retain the heat within the structure during colder months. They are particularly popular with long term hire marquees and exhibitions.

Lighting, Heating & Power

Our lighting department consists of single and 2 tier brass chandeliers, up lighters and fluorescent strip lights, all of which can be combined to produce a simple yet effective atmosphere within the marquee. However, for larger events, or to produce stunning effects within the marquee, we would look to employ the services of a specialist lighting company, who would look after all aspects of the lighting, including pin spots to tables, pools of light over the bar and other features, general atmospheric lighting, backlighting (behind the lining) ‘P’ light canopies, glitter balls, strobes, smoke machines and a whole host of other truly magical lighting to create the perfect event.

We can provide thermostatically controlled heating within the marquee so you don’t have to worry about constantly turning them on and off, and their large tanks will ensure hours of continuous heat.

Alternatively, during hot summer months we can arrange air conditioning within the marquee via large external chiller units that are connected to internal air handlers that distribute the cool air.

Ancillary Items

The final few pieces of the jigsaw can often be the most important, such as choosing the right chairs, bars and ancillary items and that is why we offer a wide choice in all these departments, so you can tailor your event down to the very last detail.

Another important and integral part of most functions and a place where people tend to gather is of course the bar. We supply plenty of different styles and sizes of bar to cater for any scale and type of event. Our traditional 6’ bars can be covered in either white, ivory or starcloth to coordinate with the linings, or if you require something a little more eye catching, the mirrored and illuminated bars will certainly turn heads. For the ultimate ‘wow’ factor, we can supply an ice bar, sculpted to whatever design you want.

We literally have everything covered so you don’t have to worry about the ‘less’ significant factors that can sometimes be overlooked so we also supply an extensive range of coat rails, patio heaters, mirrors, hat racks, high chairs, red carpets, ash stands, fire extinguishers and bar fridges to ensure your event runs smoothly and with complete success.
